An ABA accredited law school is any law school that has submitted a request to the American Bar Association and has received an accreditation. These law institutions have gone through and passed an extensive evaluation of several key factors, that provides those students interested in studying law an indication of whether the law institution has met or exceeded certain quality measures.
During the accrediting process, the American Bar Association evaluates each instructor and member of the faculty of the institution in question as to the quality of his or her knowledge and teaching capabilities. These instructors and faculty members must perform to the highest level of their ability. The ABA also evaluates the schools curriculum, their libraries, dorm room facilities and classrooms to assure that the facility meets a certain criteria. During the schools evaluation, the ABA also makes sure that each school can supply students with adequate financial resources to help them complete their education. Upon meeting or exceeding the in depth quality standards set forth by the ABA, the school will then become an ABA accredited law school.
